Now it's Time to Say Good-bye...

I opened with a Disney reference, so it seemed only fitting to close with one as well.

Yesterday marked my 10 month anniversary blogging with Weddingbee (hard to believe) and so I, somewhat reluctantly, pushed "publish" on this post.

Hive, it has been an absolute pleasure to share our wedding journey with you. From our engagement to our wedding day; the good times and the not so good; and plenty of tips along the way. Thank you for reading our story and, in many ways, being part of it - from helping me make a decision on a bachelorette location to dressing Mr. Turkey.

I found wedding planning to be really fun and loved how these 14 months gave me the opportunity to spend lots of time with family and friends. And so, if I were to impart one piece of advice for you brides-to-be, it would be to enjoy the process

Sure, family dynamics are tough and you may will get stressed and things may will go wrong, but at the end of the day, you'll be married. I can promise you there's just nothing better than that and by focusing on the positive, you'll forget the bumps along the way.

Although I'm saying good-bye, you're likely to still see me around these parts. Mr. Turkey and I do love weddings after all - we just hit #36 and have three already on the docket for 2013.

Our last 2 weddings for 2012 - a beautiful mountaintop affair in Vail, CO in late August (top) and
a tropical party on the beach in Playa del Carmen, Mexico this past weekend (bottom)
I know this is typically where Bees share their next writing endeavors, but I have decided to take a break for the time being. Writing for Weddingbee was a fantastic experience, but also a lot of work (mostly self-imposed). I'm very proud of posting for each of the 45 weeks I've been part of the 'bee (surprised I pulled this off), but don't have the stamina right now to continue after these 150+ posts. This is much to Mr. Turkey's chagrin. :)

Instead, I'm going to focus on living in the moment, yet still capturing our adventures as we go forward on this journey as Mr. & Mrs. If planning a wedding to Mr. Turkey was this fun, I can only imagine the joy in planning the next chapter of our lives!

Marking a new decade - celebrating my 30th birthday (and Mr. Turkey's 29th) in Las Vegas
All the best,
Rachel
