wedding-something: a phiLOVEdelphia story: True Life

I’ve been holding out on you Hive, but the title says it all.

Sometime late in our reception, I recall looking over and seeing a woman in purple dancing next to me. Thinking perhaps the signature cocktail had gone to my head, I turned to someone next to me, asking, “is that person wearing a tank top?” and was answered in the affirmative.

I realize that everyone interprets black tie optional differently, but, tank top aside, this person didn’t look familiar to me and I didn’t recall seeing them earlier in the evening (some of Mr. Turkey’s friends brought girlfriends I had not met before).

Mr. Turkey spotted the crasher too and we actually had a debate (prior to getting our photo gallery) about when she arrived. Per the photos, it appears as though it was sometime right around midnight, meaning we have the culprit captured on film!

In the greater scheme of things, this was not at a huge deal. If that’s the worst thing that happened, we’re pretty darn lucky. It’s kind of funny now to see the pictures…and also rib on the guest who (inadvertently) invited her to stop by (long story).

We just keep the Turkey parents away from him…because they were not so much amused.
