a phiLOVEdelphia story: Making an Entrance

Cocktail hour ended with the sounding of a bell (or xylophone...my memory is fading) and it was time to get the party started!!

Jellyroll started with some upbeat music for introductions, bringing many guests to their feet and ready to dance. The parents were up first.

All photos are by Philip Gabriel Photography.

The hosts of the evening, Turkey Mom and Dad, entered to "Crazy in Love"
Mr. Turkey's parents were introduced with "Can't Turn You Loose"
It was then time for the bridal party to strut their stuff (I told you they were fun, remember?).

Bridesmaid D clapped it out with groomsmen E and S to "Love Train"
Bridesmaid C was escorted by groomsmen C and D to "How Sweet it Is"
Bridesmaid M and groomsman T kept it classy with "Isn't She Lovely"
Brother Turkey and bridesmaid B entertained the crowd during "Raise Your Glass"
Last but not least, the Best Man and Maid of Honor made their appearance!

M and J perfected the spin move during "More Today"
With everyone in place, Mr. Turkey and I knew it was just about that time...

Parents are ready
Everyone is up...
...time to be introduced as Mr. and Mrs.!!

As the band channeled Barry White with "My Everything", we rounded the corner...

Bruce directed us towards the dance floor
made our way past the cheering guests...

Embracing the chaos...and tight squeeze for the dress
onto the dance floor...

 for a little spin move...

before heading into our first dance!

I'll recap our first dance in the next post, but can you guess which song we chose? You already know it wasn't that pretty due to lack of practice and I promise the camera captured some awkward moments. Get excited.

Did you and your bridal party make an entrance into the reception? Which song (or songs) did you use?
