a phiLOVEdelphia story: Becoming a Bride

Our recaps have taken to us when Mr. Turkey is about to head down for the first look. However, we'll back up just a little bit, since, based on what you've seen so far...I'm not even dressed!!

After capturing all the little details, it was time for my dress' close-up. Even now, almost three months post-wedding, I am still incredibly obsessed with my wedding dress. Thank you, Edgardo!

All photos are by Philip Gabriel Photography*.

From stuffed to FREEEEEE
There are plenty more solo dress shots, but I'll spare you and keep the majority to myself! But warning: this post does have lots of photos ahead!!

We're now at the most exciting part of the afternoon - time for the dress to go on and make the transformation to bride.

Step 1: Take down dress

Taking down the dress with MOH J - one of my favorite pictures of the day
Step 2: Get dress ON

We realized quickly that the dress was A) heavy, B) needed a strategy, and C) required 3 people to execute.

We are trying here to figure out how I can get in without flashing the world
Love the reflection in the table (great idea, Gabe!)
That would be the last time I had to hold up the top - amen for boning
Step 3: Celebrate the dress being on

Yes, there was spontaneous clapping for the dress being on!
Step 4: Add the final touches

Hard to believe it required so many hands to get everything together...high maintenance bride over here
Step 5: Celebrate...again

"OMG - this is for REAL!!!"
Step 6: Requisite fluffing and straightening

Hey - I'm standing up straight (thanks mostly to the dress' structure, but nevertheless)
And there you have it...the 6 steps it took to make Miss Turkey a bride!

Married Bees - were you surprised by just how much work it took to "become a bride"?

*Note - I did slight editing on any photos featuring the hanger with my married name
