a phiLOVEdelphia story: Favorite Guest Photos

Our recaps have brought you right up to the start of our wedding day.

Although there were many photos taken during the day on my camera (thanks, bridesmaids!), Mr. Turkey and I were missing many of the moments from our big day when we left for Hawaii.

This was tough, especially since we expected to wait 6 - 8 weeks for our professional photos (based on the timeline in our contract, but Gabe is amazing and we had them in just under 4). So, when we returned from our honeymoon and ended our technology hiatus, Mr. Turkey and I were thrilled to find that many of our guests had shared their images with us.

I realize that details or photos posted online by wedding guests are a topic of much controversy here on the blog (see relevant posts by Coyote, Dragon & Mink). We didn't have a strong feeling either way prior to our wedding day, but, coming out the other side, I must say that we support the decision to share!

Warning: photo heavy post ahead (thanks to our guests)!

The guest photos captured a LOT.

From moments the photographer didn't,
While we were doing bridal portraits, the bridesmaids did a photo shoot with a tree - hilarious!
I got tired during family portraits and decided on an...interesting...position to relax
Chowing down on pretzels before the ceremony
Showing off our new bling just moments after saying "I do"
Turkey Mom took this picture to prove we ate at the wedding!
to details we loved (don't want to spoil too much),

Close up on all the bouquets
Our lucite Chivari chairs
Our cake - with flowers that matched my dress!
PB&J cups - one of the desserts that beat out the cupcakes

Turkey Mom (in blush) and her siblings
With all Mr. Turkey's college friends
All the parents, just after introductions
and others that were just.plain.fun.

Bridesmaid D was helping her cousin with his Flat Stanley project
Doing the "running man" with Turkey Dad (more details on this later!)
There are FAR too many photos like this from our wedding
Funny picture of Mr. Turkey and some of his (super fun) family
Whether they stuck an Instagram photo on Twitter or posted an album on Facebook, checked us in at the venue (our photographer did that!) or sent us a couple photos, we were greatly appreciative. Our guests gave us a wonderful collection of images to remember our day - and some will likely make their way into our albums. Thank you!!!

I'll close with a guest video that captures a hilarious moment during our reception...Brother Turkey helping guide Turkey Dad and his friend through the Cupid Shuffle - enjoy!
