Nails and a Nosh

It seems fairly common for brides to use the day before their wedding to relax and get pretty, specifically when it comes to mani / pedis with their bridal party. Well, I don't often buck tradition, so it seemed to be a good idea to look into salon / spa options for the group.

Since I have trouble doing things simply, I decided to make the Friday before the wedding an "event" for me, the bridesmaids and Turkey Mom.

Invitation by Sweet Wishes (specific design)
I reached out to Adolf Biecker Salon, which is on the fourth floor of the Rittenhouse Hotel (our wedding venue) to see what they could do for us. Turns out they host group events and could offer use the nail room from 12 - 4pm as well as space by the pool area for food and drinks (provided by Rittenhouse catering).  In addition, as long as the spa isn't crazy busy, we can also us the sauna and steam room!

This seemed like the perfect way to spend the afternoon before the wedding day and thus became known as "Nails and a Nosh" (in my head).

After working with Sweet Wishes on the invitations, I had another thought...something was missing. When you're in a spa, you're supposed to feel pampered and although our fingers and toes will be getting the royal treatment, I thought the ladies deserved a little more. I decided that, to get in the "spa" mood, robes would be a perfect treat!

Robes by The Palm Gifts
I chose simple black for the bridesmaids with a "pop" of turquoise for their first initial. With one engaged bridesmaid, it seemed to make sense not to use full monograms and chances are they won't be changing their first name! Turkey Mom received a turquoise robe (she loves blue hues) and I went with white for myself.

To each robe I tied a nail file and wrote out their names. These nail files served as the tag and would hang out of the gift bag.

Fun fact - my new monogram matches Mr. Turkey and my "couple" monogram!
I had planned to get turquoise or black gift bags to coordinate, but was unfortunately very sick the week before the scheduled gifting...so green it was!

Sorry for the blurring...but you get the idea!
I presented the ladies with their robes and invitation to Nails and a Nosh after my fashionista bridal shower as a "thank you" for all their hard work. Turkey Mom and I coordinated and her thank you gift to the bridesmaids was a gift certificate to Adolf Biecker - perfect!

Showing off our robes!
To finish, I couldn't help but put together a little spreadsheet to keep track of everyone's selected services!

I'm so excited to spend a relaxing afternoon with everyone and have fancy nails for the wedding (no, I still haven't made a decision). And the robes are pretty comfy too!

What are you doing the day before your wedding? Anyone else on the mani / pedi bandwagon?
