I've now shared both the
full recap and
some tips from the fashionista bridal shower. However, I would be remiss if I didn't cover all the details.
The Fashionable Five (AKA bridesmaids) and Turkey Mom worked very hard to create such a color and decor coordinated shower...and since all brides LOVE details, I just had to share!
I think the elements speak for themselves, so I'll be pretty quiet during this entry and let the photos do the talking.
WARNING: pink, green and photo heavy post ahead!
Right from the entrance, guests started to feel the theme.
|
You already saw this picture of the dressmaker's dummy at the entrance |
|
Close up on the bag (coordinated with the invite) |
As guests went down the hall, it was time to pick up their placecard.
|
Yup, you picked up a SHOE to find out where you were seated |
|
Close up of a placecard...and a handmade napkin |
The tables were really the star of the beautiful room, thanks to some FABULOUS centerpieces.
|
Sampling of 3 different arrangements |
|
Another handmade napkin, with it's "hat" ring and a "fun fact" about Philly (note the holder) |
There were also tons of photos around and some were extra special because they featured relatives not at the shower (including my late godmother and
my grandmother, who was unable to travel).
|
Again, note the cute photo holders |
Now, of course the hostesses didn't send any of the guests home empty handed...
|
The favors were mints! The containers said "Shower for the Future Mrs. Turkey" and had pink shoes |
And because they're so thorough, even the bathroom was coordinated!
|
Loved the hand towels - they said "get out of here...you look great" |
It's hard to pick a
favorite detail, but if forced, I would have to say that I loved the centerpieces the most. From the boa on the dressmaker's dummy to the hat box, they were absolutely perfect. Maybe Turkey Mom will keep one intact and displayed in my bedroom in NY (hint hint hint).
|
Centerpieces, candy & fun facts (caught a lot in this photo) |
Finally, if you didn't get it from above, there was an incredible amount of "stuff" that was collected for the shower. The place settings alone took up a lot of room - multiply the number of handmade napkins and hat napkin rings by 27!
My parents' living room basically became a staging area before the bridal shower. Thank goodness they don't use this room frequently!
|
The question everyone was asking...what is going to happen to all this stuff later? Fashionista baby shower perhaps?!? |
