Fashionista Bridal Shower - The Tips

Although it at one time felt YEARS away, my fashionista bridal shower was this past weekend. Besides being a wonderful event where I felt so blessed by the love shown by family and friends, it was also another marked milestone on the wedding timeline.

On the "big" wedding-related event scale, it's just my bachelorette now between us and the weekend we get married...scary.

My incredibly detailed wedding timeline (thanks, PowerPoint)

There's a lot to share about the shower and so, like my drawn out posts about save the dates (I, II, III, IV), you can get excited for several on the bridal shower. Don't lie, you're totally thrilled.

However, I won't let myself get into the full recap until I finish all the thank you notes.

I was very happy with the "fashionable" thank yous I was able to find!
So, instead I'll start by measuring how I did against the tips from my first bridal shower.

Tip #1 was to wear something comfortable / long enough, as I felt my original shower dress was a tiny bit too short.

Well, I think the photo below with the bridesmaids shows no inappropriate level of leg...or thigh!

Tip #2 was around cutting the cake. Luckily at this shower there were only cupcakes, so I was safe!

Dear Peanut Butter Cup, I miss you already. XOXO, Miss Turkey
Although I was conscious of my facial expressions due to Tip #3, there were still some hilarious outtakes. I love you all enough to post the top 2 WORST photos (that I currently have in my possession - if there are worse ones, please don't share with me).

Something was really upsetting me about this box / gift
No idea. Seriously. NO idea.
As for Tip #4, this is where I was most prepared!

Knowing that my stomach might act up, I was prepared with some Tums in my purse. And, not only did I eat at the shower (YES!), I was even able to enjoy some adult beverages.

Enjoying a Bloody Mary in my super cute "Shopaholic" cup
I have to say, making it through the shower without a red face or overly angry stomach made me feel a LOT better about the wedding. Let's just hope being prepared means I don't need to be prepared (you know, like carrying an umbrella and it never raining) on the big day.

Finally, for Tip #5, I told Turkey Mom and some of the bridesmaids about the photo list and we were able to get some great pictures that I'm very happy to have!

Overall, I think I can give myself a good "grade" for following my previous tips and it made for a fabulous shower! Looking forward to sharing more of it with you all soon (gotta keep writing...).

Did you have any tips that you followed for your bridal shower?
