Fairy Godmother?

I'm sure every bride feels like they have a fairy godmother many times during the planning process. After all, on the wedding day there are a LOT of people in place to help us look practically royal.

However, I recently discovered that there is another fairy godmother roaming around...the Mother of the Bride fairy (or MOBF)!

Have you not heard of MOBF? Well, she was knew to me as well until Turkey Mom sent me this picture a while back.

Mystery basket that appeared on the front porch: Ketel One, martini glasses and some drink mixes
The MOBF first visited Turkey Mom in the winter with the gift above and has struck a few other times with gifts tailored specifically for her (the above was for her love of martinis...only cute ones, though).

Relaxing candle and some sparkly body wash & lotion
MOBF has good taste, too...besides fun gifts, they all came in cute packages.

I was having some diamond envy when I saw one of the boxes
The latest gift arrived just before the fashionista bridal shower.

Dear Hallmark, there might be a market for revised gift bags

A MOBF made kit for Turkey Mom
A number of these items in the kit will come in especially handy on the day of the wedding (especially the tissues & handkerchief)...but is it traditional to give the mother of the bride alcohol? ;)

Back to reality, though...I know the MOBF may seem a little silly to some of you all and you'd question why I would post about such a thing. Well, I really loved the gesture by MOBF and what it represents. Turkey Mom's friend was so kind to think of her and give her little treats during a time when she's been more the gift "giver" and planner. In fact, I really wish that I had thought of this since Turkey Mom has been such an invaluable part of the wedding process.

So, I share in case there are other brides out there with mothers (or other family members) that might deserve a little something extra...do you think you might want to be a MOBF?
