Whether it's a surprise / ransom note from your bridesmaids, bridal magazines, something (or lots of somethings) bought from Etsy or RSVPs, there seems to be a lot more "fun" mail in the year of your wedding. I'm going to be very disappointed come June.
Anyhow, last week I was greeted at my mailbox by a vellum envelope with a brightly colored invite inside. What ever could it be?!?!
So springy and fun! |
The inside - sorry for all the blurring but hope you enjoy the fun font as much as I did |
See, the bridal shower is 6 weeks before the wedding. Um, WHAT? When we chose the date for the shower (many months ago), it seemed forever away. Now that the invites are out there, it's very clear that the wedding is quickly approaching. As other spring bride Bees have mentioned, it feels like after the 100 day mark, time speeds up and the to do list continues growing.
But enough serious stuff...back to the invites (although it WAS their fault for bringing on the serious reality check*).
Believe it or not, Turkey Mom was the artiste behind these! She hand made 30+ different versions for all the invitees. Although I knew she was handling the invites for the shower, I had NO idea the work that she put into them until I saw this in my mailbox.
Thank you, Turkey Mom!! |
Was there a particular piece of mail or event that made the wedding feel "real" for you?
*Can only imagine how the first RSVP will feel. :-/ On that note, our invites went out this week - hooray! Will share the reveal soon...
