SURPRISE - Part II

When we left off, I was off to bed with a full belly of yummy Mexican and fun drinks. The next morning we took our time getting up and then headed out for a Bloody Mary brunch. I promise you, the entire weekend did NOT revolve around drinks.

As brunch was winding down, the girls handed me a present...a picture frame. I opened it from behind, but when I turned it over...Surprise #3!!
AHHHHHHHH
Do you need a closer view?

Sorry for the blurring!
Knowing my love for all thing tween music, the girls had bought me tickets to the NKOTBSB concert in Baltimore. For those of you not down with the 90s music scene, that's New Kids on the Block (NKOTB) and Backstreet Boys (BSB). I had actually seen NKOTB back in 2008 when they did their first reunion tour.

We each had shirts with our favorite songs (MOH J on the right)
And now, here we were, nearly 3 years later...and I was off to see them again! I was so excited. I may have even cried. No, I'm not one of THOSE girls, but I was just so touched by the actions of my favorite girls...so thoughtful. Especially since a couple of them were not pop music fans at all.

We arrived in Baltimore mid-afternoon and the plan was to head out for a bite to eat.

As we were consulting our iPhones for a place to go for lunch, there was a tap on my shoulder...it was Bridesmaid B!! She lives in Baltimore, but I hadn't thought I would see her because she told me she had a wedding to attend. Surprise #4!!

With 5 of the 6 lovely bridesmaids
We had a lovely afternoon catching up and fueling for the concert. Before I knew it, it was time to go see the boys!

The concert.was.awesome. It was so fun to relive my teen years and spend time with the girls. With all the excitement, I was completely EXHAUSTED by the end of the evening, but in a good way. It was a fabulous weekend overall and I was so impressed with the girls' ability to surprise me so many times!! It reminded me just how lucky I was to have such amazing friends.

I'll end with a photo of Donnie - the "bad" New Kid ... and my favorite
Have your bridesmaids been able to surprise you at all? How did they do it?
